Even though Covid restrictions have ended, we are being cautious during services. We may sing, but ask the congregation to keep masks on.
A message from Scott Eastwood of Luton BC:
We are launching a new campaign on Friday called “10 Minutes of Community”
The concept is that we will be encouraging residents to do 10 minutes of volunteering to help instil some civic pride back into their neighbourhoods. This could be anything from picking up some litter on the way back from the school run, to weeding outside their home to clearing weeds in a playground.
This will have a bigger impact than asking someone to do a hour a week. Everyone can manage 10 minutes in a week. (5 people doing 10 minutes together get more done than 5 individuals doing 10 minutes separately).
Luton BC hopes to make a graphic of where community activity is taking place, by particpants sharing the before and after picture on social media, using the hashtag #10MinutesOfCommunity and the area.
We hope this can work towards a week of action to tie into the Great Big Green Week (18th -26th September) where a week of action could be taken to deliver some changes in our neighbourhoods.

We have a temporary clothes bank, now located in All Saints Church. We have clothes and shoes for adult men and women, particularly for asylum seekers. We will be open on Thursdays and Saturdays from 11am to 1pm.
We would be delighted to talk to you about Christening (which is also called baptism), for your baby, your older child or even for yourself.
Baptism is a first step along a journey of faith. In baptism we welcome a new member into the church of God.

We are very happy to hold a christening as part of our main church service on a Sunday, or as a private service.

End of life care and funerals
We are here to help when you need it most. Even with current restrictions, it is still possible to hold a beautiful and fitting service to celebrate and honour your loved one.
End of life care from a church is more than just providing a funeral. We will support you, visit you and listen to you, as you - or your loved one - are approaching the end of life.
We can offer our presence and prayer for those near death.
When you are planning a funeral, we will visit (or call you, during lockdown), help you understand what to expect, and help you to plan a service that will feel personal, and will reflect the distinctive life and personality of your loved one. We can help you choose hymns, music and readings, and can help you write a fitting eulogy.

When restrictions allow, we will meet again at All Saints Vestry on the first Wednesday of the month for a short service and a talk from a visiting speaker.
We are very active in fundraising and are strong supporters of the inmates at Yarlswood detention centre at Bedford.
You don’t have to be a mother, a parent or even a woman to join.
New members are always welcome.
